Bustec History

Bustec was founded in 1997 by Dr. Fred Bloennigen, current Bustec CEO. After completing his Ph.D. in France in 1985, Dr. Bloennigen began his career as a nuclear and elementary particle physicist at the University of Berkeley in California before returning to Europe as an engineer for a large American data acquisition and test company. In 1997, Dr. Bloennigen founded Bustec in Ireland and in 2000 opened a branch in the United States. With proven systems and consistent reliability, Bustec quickly became the leading supplier of high-performance data acquisition and test products to customers in power generation, aerospace and defense, and medical devices industries.
